Located in a nondescript area of suburban Los Angeles, the owner of this strip mall decided to change the formula from leasing to branded mid tier restaurant offerings to a one off,  from scratch "home made" pasta restaurant. The intent was to generate a modest yet clearly designed environment to enhance the in-dining experience while highlighting the ingredients and craft associated with on site pasta making. The space is split between dining to one side and food prep and cooking on the other. The design aspires to focus diners on their food experience as well as the energy and theatre of a bustling open kitchen.
