This salon on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica constitutes a piece of retail urban infill along an all too rare walk street in the Los Angeles area. The design of the store emphasizes the craft of haircutting and takes on the form and feel of a workshop. The woven wire ceiling and the cabinetry that create the working environment are designed to support each part of the stylists process in a space no greater than 500 sq/ft.
